Relationships God's Way
Idea from "Authentic Relationships" by Wayne Jacobsen & Clay Jacobsen (2003):
You will fall short of Christ's example for community & genuine relationships if you do not "care more about how someone heard it than how they said it".
Don't get so caught up in the commitment-obligation-having to live up to expectations (false perceived expectations of your own or by others), that you forget to live by the authentic motivation of your heart, pure affection for others, to drive your relationships!
